Anders Celsius Anders Celsius was born in Uppsala on January 27th in 1701. He was one of a large number of scientists who were all affiliation in and originated from Ovanaker in province of Halsingland. He was the first person to fire a nexus between these lights and change in the earths magnetised field. Anders Celsius died of tuberculosis in April 1744, only 42 years old.
